Turning $1 to $1000 playing poker online – update #11

March 7th, 2008 by Kenric

Well I lied in my last poker update.  On update #10 made in January I said that I was quitting my goal to turn $1 into $1000 playing poker online.

Truth is that I was having a tough time when I was really trying.  When it turned into more of a chore than a fun time playing poker, I had to stop.  However, once I told myself I’d quit the challenge poker became fun again.

I began playing poker again regularly for fun.  I’m staying at $0.05/$0.10 level which I think I can easily beat.  Instead of concentrating on the game and 4-5 tabling I am playing 3 tables while watching TV.  I can play this level on autopilot most of the time.  Sometimes in a tough hand I have to pause the Tivo.

Last month I also withdrew most of the earned money from my poker account.  I got a nice $400 check which left me with about $13 in my account.  So I basically started from scratch again in February with $13 and built it up to $193.

That graph above is for February 2008.  I’m going to try to get to $1000 again even though I technically only need to get to $600 to have completed my first goal.
