Tucson fixer upper day #2
February 8th, 2007 by KenricHere are some pictures of the house. It’s not the prettiest thing in the world. The house is set back real far from the street. The trees in front seem to block alot of the house.

The front entrance has a nice double gate. Can I market it as gated?

Closer view of the front of the house. Needs new windows everywhere.

We took out all the cabinets and appliances in the kitchen.
The living room has old hardwood floors and beam ceilings.
The master bath we’re going to try to keep intact. The vanity and wainscotting is in good shape. Needs new floor tile.

The bedrooms are all decent. They need paint, some drywall repairs, new closet doors.
We met with our contractor and went over what we wanted done. We should get a bid tomorrow.
On our way home my friend’s car tire shredded on us. We felt a vibration and stopped at a rest area. We couldn’t see anything wrong with the tire and thought it may have been a wheel balance issue. So we kept driving and the vibration got worse and finally the rubber just ripped from the steel belt which took out the wheel well lining and the bottom fender spewing it and rubber strips all over the highway. Luckily the steel belts kept the tire inflated. We pulled over to the shoulder and I look up and see this big bright yellow sign saying 24 Hour Tire Repair Shop! The shop was literally 100 yards away off the highway. And too top it all off, they only charged us $90 for a new tire and install.

There is so much potential!
How does the rest of the neighborhood look?

The neighborhood is pretty good. Alot of multi-units next door. Many homes have been remodeled and are on the market. This home will be the lowest priced in the area when done.

You work FAST! What is your estimated time of completion? Nice job.

Looks like a good buy. I’d definately call it “gated” if I were you. Ha Ha! Good luck with the property.
