Time for an update

September 8th, 2009 by Kenric

Wow, it’s been awhile since my last update. So let’s see what has happened.

Real Estate

The good news is that all my properties are rented. The SLC townhome has a tenant in there as of Sept 1st. Remember when I mentioned back in July that I paid to pay a $1750 one month penalty to my condo HOA? Well, I sent them a letter and they reversed it! Yay.

Ebusinesses

Same ole same ole for the businesses.  I took a 3 day advanced SEO class because I felt like I wasn’t getting anywhere anymore in ranking my sites.  The class was very good and taught me alot of new strategies.  After taking the class I have more of a blueprint when it comes to SEO strategy.

I am now going to start creating my website empire.  I guess I’ll start it off with www.white-boards.org which is just a site I decided to put up after making a custom white board for my home office.  The strategy here is to build websites on good or decent domains and slowly build up a website portfolio.  While doing so, you hope that each site can sustain itself or actually make you money.

Misc

My koi pond is done.  It needs some finishing touches, as in rocks.  Problem is that it’s been so hot here that I have about a one hour window a day to move large rocks around and I’ve been lazy doing it.  I promise to have pictures on the next update.

Gold broke $1000/oz today!  I hadn’t even checked it until I was about to write this post.  I wonder where it will go from here.  I don’t really follow it at all, but it’s interesting.

  2. You spent WAY too much time in college hanging around engineering and physics professors’ offices if you need a 4′x 8′ white board. Unless you are writing out some huge equation to impress your students, a 3′x 4′ would probably suffice for most folks. The “after” picture was not up when I looked, but I bet it’s nice.

Get Home Depot to cut the board and split the cost with someone. The pieces will fit in a car trunk or in the back of an SUV no problem.

Is a koi pond construction site up next?

  3. Nice board! They make the blackboards at my kids’ school similarly. They actually sell a type of paint that becomes like a blackboard.

So, please tell us more about your SEO class? where? Worth it? Sounds like you liked it.

  4. If you need to learn SEO, go to the forums at digitalpoint.com , and just hang out there for a few weeks, you’ll evetualy learn everything you need to know.
SEO really comes down to finding people to link to you, AND linking to yourself internally.
Now I just wish getting started in RE investing was that easy
