Pond Pictures
September 20th, 2009 by KenricHere are some pictures of my pond. It’s finally done. Now you see why it took so long to complete!

Now that you see the pond, I’ll zoom back so you can see the house.

Ok, I’m sure most of my readers would know that this isn’t really my house. It’s just too small for me. I took these photos last week while up in Sedona.
This is my measly waterfall that is about 90% complete. Honestly, the pond is running and working, there are 13 fish in there and all the rest of the stuff is for asthetics and I don’t feel like carrying large rock around my back yard when its still around 100 degrees. So chances are the pond and landscaping won’t be done until late October. I don’t want to show a full pond pic yet cause you’ll see dirt, shovels and garbage everywhere.

Look at this guy I picked up at Petsmart for $5. I was suprised because chain petshops don’t usually have nice looking koi!

Wow, I always wanted a pond. Do you have trouble with water temp? As I understand it, Koi really like water temp in the low 70s or lower. Otherwise good job. Looking forward to seeing the entire pond.

Don’t think they have any temp problems. The waterfall keeps the water cooler than 90. The pond temp right now is 70 degrees for the fall. It probably will drop to 58 degrees.
Pond is officially done (unless a leak sprouts), just need to clean up the area!
