No extension yet?
May 10th, 2006 by KenricNot sure what’s going on, but I didn’t get an extension to sign from the buyer today. The house is officially out of contract as their first extension expired yesterday. The buyer’s agent is also hard to get a hold of. There are too many fishy things going on here so we’re going to relist the house tomorrow morning and assume that this contract is not going to close. I left the buyer’s agent a long voicemail stating this and asking him to call me ASAP. I’ll give him until noon tomorrow to call. If he doesn’t I’m going to ask escrow to release the earnest money (which is still at $4k) and put the house back on the market.

What happened to keeping the earnest money? LOL

I am keeping the earnest money. To get it released however, both parties have to agree and sign a release document. Now whether or not he will sign it is another issue.
