Making money online – May 2007

June 2nd, 2007 by Kenric

May was a good month.  I branched out and begin experimenting with other forms of revenue.  I also added a few more mini-sites which are bringing in small minute amounts of money but when added up together brought in $55.  I’m leaning away from Google Adwords and going for organic search results.  However that $0.59 of Google Adwords brought in $29 worth of ad clicks!

Amazon sales are pretty much dead.  I think I had 3 clicks all month.

Text link sales are pretty surprising.  The $8 is a pro-rated monthly number, next month if I get no more ads, it should bring in $20.

I had a direct sale ad at $15/month for 6 months.  Therefore I actually received $90 this month.  I guess it’s sort of cheating to account for it all in this month.  But I wanted to keep my tracking system simple.  So any money going into my account this month is considered revenue for this month.

I recently started Payperpost.  I’m trying to find a system where I can get a good ROI by doing this.  This means writing quick short articles for maximum pay.  If I can get paid $10 for 15 minutes of my time writing, that’s a free lunch for the day!

Here is the breakdown:

  • Adsense revenue from this blog: $98
  • Adsense revenue from other sites: $55
  • Revenue from Amazon sales: $0
  • Revenue from Text Link sales: $8
  • Revenue from direct sales: $90
  • Revenue from Payperpost: $18
  • Revenue from Kontera: $2 (4 days)

Total Revenue: $269

  • Google Adwords expenses: <$1

Total Profit: $268

Without the fuzzy accounting of the full $90, I would have still been at $193 for May.  It’s gonna be hard to top the May number but I’m going to try.
