Making Money Online – May 2008
June 2nd, 2008 by KenricLet’s just get done to the numbers. Here are the numbers for May 2008.
Adsense revenue from this blog: $124
Adsense revenue from other sites: $30
Revenue from advertising sales: $87
Revenue from affiliate sales: $0
Ebiz’s: $804
Total Revenue: $1045

Adsense from this blog is still going up. Advertising sales went up because this blog got some of its PR ranking back at the beginning of the month.
Ebiz1 had a slow month again. But revenues stayed the same mainly because my marketing costs dropped alot. Summer is a slow season for my products.
Ebiz2 has been shut down, but I’m planning to reopen by the end of this month.
I am shutting down Ebiz3 after only two weeks. There are a couple reasons that I’m doing this. The main one is because I got my 1-page checkout for my ebiz#1. This was one of the main reasons I was searching for a new platform. The second one is that Ebiz3 was based off of me carrying inventory at home. I quickly realized after boxing and shipping a few things myself that I did not want to carry inventory. It’s just too much work for a little more profit. The third was that Volusion costs $50/mo and has low bandwidth and my OSC platform is free with alot of bandwidth. I also did not need all the bells and whistles that came with it. It was overkill for my simple store.
I’m going to follow my ebiz1 model from now on. Just plain 100% dropshipping and simple, tight, niche stores that generate about $1000/mo.

Did you get to keep your one page checkout for ebiz#1 or do you have however many pages osCommerce has?

I have the 1 page checkout for ebiz#1. It’s only been a week since I’ve put it in but so far the data looks very good.
