Making money online – August 2007

September 4th, 2007 by Kenric

August income numbers from online were pretty dismal. This is the 3rd straight month of declining revenues. This just shows that you’ve got to keep working on something to keep it going. I stopped actively trying to monetize this blog in June and you can clearly see from the graph below the downslide.

Last month I decided to take any income I’ve made from this blog and put it back into it or at least do something online with it.  In August I used the July funds to purchase some Live Learn Invest T-Shirts.  I actually over spent and used June and July funds to buy the T-shirts.

I find John Chow’s income of almost $18,000 a month for his blog very impressive.  He is actively monetizing his blog and creating an income far greater than any workplace job.

I tried Kontera again for a few days.  I just got annoyed at the number of links it put in the article so that’s gone permanently.

Here is the breakdown:

Adsense revenue from this blog: $57
Adsense revenue from other sites: $46
Revenue from Amazon sales: $0
Revenue from Text Link sales: $65
Revenue from Payperpost: $0
Revenue from Kontera: $2

Total Revenue: $170

Google Adwords expenses: $2

Total Profit: $168
