Making money online – April 2007 results
May 1st, 2007 by KenricMy blog revenue went up. Traffic has been steadily increasing on my blog and I’m getting alot of search engine love. My kitchen tile backsplash pages are getting many hits, but they are mostly google image searches.
I had a couple new sites such as Optimacondos.com that I started putting some ads on that bumped up my revenue from other sites. These sites made only $12 on very low traffic on just 15 days. Not bad.
My book sales from Why We Want You To Be Rich have pretty much died. This is the only site that I continue to spend Adwords money on. However, the fact that I’m not selling doesn’t mean that I’m losing money. I paid $7 in Adwords and made $37 in Adsense clicks on that site.
Here is the breakdown: this month (last month)
- Revenue from this blog: $91 ($66)
- Revenue from other sites: $54 ($27)
- Revenue from Amazon sales: $1 ($0)
Total Revenue: $146 ($93)
- Google Adwords expenses: $7 ($3)
Total Profit: $139 ($90)

April was my highest month ever! I fully expect my earnings to increase every month now. I’m going to be adding new sites every month that should help boost the earnings. My goal in March was to hit $150 and I failed miserably, but I almost reached it in April. So let’s go for $175 for May!

Ken, how much time (hours) do you put into this?
By Clifford on May 2, 2007
For my blog, I put in about half hour a day. It really depends on what I’m typing about.
For my other sites, I don’t do much with them once I have them running. I could probably do better if I tended to them more.
