Interspire Ecommerce Shopping Cart Software

April 3rd, 2009 by Kenric

I purchased Interspire’s Ecommerce Shopping Cart Software a few weeks ago to use for my next ebiz.  So far, based on my research, this is the best out of the box ecommerce software on the market.  At $300, I really believe that it’s a steal.  The only real limitation of the $300 version is that you can only have 100 products.  This was not a problem for me since my niche stores often have only 40-60 products.

The software has pretty much everything I tried to put into my ebiz stores.

  • It also comes with 20 free templates which can be easily customized.
  • It has a one page checkout feature.
  • It also does not require your customer to create an account to check out.
  • It has a product review system and many other bells and whistles.
  • It has integrated UPS, Fedex or USPS shipping that automatically calculates shipping based on customer address and order weight
  • It has multiple checkout modules (2CO, Paypal, Authorize.net, etc…) built in

Basically, many of things that I needed to work on myself and pay someone to do, this platform has.  If I sound like a commercial for this software it’s because the whole time I’m making my new store I kept saying to myself, “Where was this software 2 years ago?”  This would have saved me so many hours!

In fact I am very tempted to convert my ebiz1 onto this platform.  This is really what the niche ecommerce industry needed in terms of a straight forward out of the box shopping cart.  There’s no need to hire a developer to improve on it.

My new store hasn’t launched yet but I’m confident that all my new stores will be run on this platform until something better comes along!

They do have a demo store and you do not have to sign up to view it.  When you get to the demo section just scroll down and you’ll see a skip this form link.

Before are some of the free templates offered and another screen shot of a sample template.

  2. When you first recommended this software, I went in and played around with it. Watching all the videos, etc. This does seem like a really good ecommerce tool for websites. Are you using 1&1 servers for this?

  3. Yes, I’m still using 1and1.

  4. That is slick. This is really nice. None of the open source stuff is cool as this and in the long run this will payoff. Plus I won’t be pulling my hair out trying to get someone to edit the layout for me. Thanks Ken.

  9. Hi Sean,

I still like Interspire. It’s not 100% great, but I’d say its 75% great. I may try CS-Cart next to see how that is. I don’t believe that any cart is 100% out of the box, especially at $250-$300 prices.

With all that said, You will definitely make your $300 back with this software. I wouldn’t hestitate to open a simple store with it. I wouldn’t open up a big store with it though.

  10. Hi Kenric,

Did you ever purchase the interspire with Quick Books support? I notice that the CS-Cart software lists QB syncing. After reading your post on what has to be done to log every order, it seems like having the software sync to an accounting program would be a real plus.
