I got an offer on my lot!
November 20th, 2006 by KenricIt looks like my drastic price reduction on my lot in St. George worked. I was presented an offer today by my realtor. While I won’t go into the details of the offer yet, I’ll say a few things about it.
- The price was pretty low (but not insulting)
- It’s a cash offer
- Closes this year
I sent a counter offer back tonight. We’ll see what happens tomorrow.
If accepted, I’ll take a huge loss on this lot. Part of the pain will be offset by a small capital gains tax break. At this point, I hope my lot sells at my counter offer price and use it as an expensive lesson learned.
The lesson wouldn’t be over yet as I still have another one there!
