General Update

January 23rd, 2009 by Kenric

I have been letting this blog slide a little so I needed to make an update post.  I haven’t been that motivated to update this blog lately.  Not sure if it’s the new year, the weather or just all this online stuff but I’m trying to stay away from my computer as much as possible.

Real Estate:

Houston Apartment #1 is doing well.  We are in the process of refinancing it to a lower interest rate.  One this is completed, it should cashflow pretty week.

Houston Apartment #2 is just chugging along.  It’s cashflowing monthly as projected.  No real news to announce.

Tenants in my Peoria House have resorted to paying me $400-500/week instead of $1695/mo.  They are always late but I’ll take the weekly payments over no payments and eviction.  Their late fees are accruing but it’s useless to keep asking them for it.

One of my SLC townhomes is still empty.  It has been empty since December.

Online:

My ebiz stores are very slow this month.  Sales were pretty dead earlier but have started to pick up in the past few days.  My niche is getting a little competitive.  I have a few more suppliers to choose from now and I’m even thinking of importing directly from China.  Problem is that I have to buy 100-300 units at a time, but the cost is about 50% less than my dropshipper.

Ebiz that launched 11 days ago is doing well, but I’m not too happy with the hours.  Feels like a full time job and that is definitely not what I wanted when this started.

My Ebook has taken a backseat for the time being.  It’s been really hard for me to sit down and just type away.

New biz, I guess I should call it Ebiz6.  Nah, I want to change these names so I don’t get them all confused later on.  Let’s call this one ServiceBiz.  Yes, another new online venture is beginning.  My friend and I are starting a new website in the service industry that connects customers and suppliers.  It’s another niche site and should be relatively passive as we are trying to automate most of it.
