Final furniture update, finally
December 4th, 2008 by KenricRemember my post on about the sale I couldn’t resist? If not, on August 1st, I bought a whole new living room set and got a second set for $1. I paid $3,101 for two sets of living room furniture. My goal was to pay $1,400 for a whole living room set when I made this purchase.
Well I finally sold the last piece of my 2nd set. I wasn’t being too aggressive in selling them. I posted ads to craigslist once every two or three weeks.
In the end, I sold the coffee table and endtable for $325, the loveseat and ottoman for $900 and the sofa for $750. I spent $3,101 and sold my 2nd set for $1,975 total. I paid $1126 for my living room set which is a pretty good deal considering I was going to spend $1,300 on a single leather sofa the day I walked into the store.
