Escrow hasn’t been opened and inspection results
June 2nd, 2006 by KenricSo as of today escrow hasn’t been opened. They claim they sent the funds to the title company on Tuesday so I’ll have to call the title company on Monday to see what the deal is. This worries me and sounds fishy.
I had the gas in SFH#1 turned off when I moved out a month ago. I did not turn it back on since it’s summer time and there’s really no need for gas to maintain the house. Of course this morning was the inspection and without gas they couldn’t test to water heater or the furnace. So when I got my inspection report from the buyer it listed the gas problem, a couple smoke detectors didn’t work and one electrical box problem. Nothing major, but I think I’ll wait until escrow has been opened to turn on the gas.
