Creative Marketing for a website using blogs and a $100 budget
June 20th, 2007 by KenricThe first thing I did was stick his site on my feature sites. I should charge him $25/mo for it! That would blow 25% of his budget in one link!
My thought was to use avenues that I was familiar with to start with. For example, use Text Link Ads and pay for ads to put on other blogs. Or sign up with Payperpost and order a bunch of paid posts about my friend’s site. There are many paid directories that charge for links. The prices of many of these are way too high to be efficient. If I spend $15 per link, I’m only getting 7 links. However, with brainstorming, the possibilities are endless.
Using Google Adwords doesn’t fit his need here because he wants permanent inbound links. I also thought about directly contracting a bunch of blog owners and asking them to add a link for $5. At $5 per link, I can get 20 links. But can I get even more than that? I think I can.
So what is the most efficient way to spend $100/mo to create inbound links? I don’t quite know yet, but it’s a very interesting challenge to me.

A link under my featured sites will cost him $50 per month. I’ve got loads of traffic, good alexa and pagerank. Do tell whether that might interest him. Maybe he could try it out for a month and see the number of visitors, keeping track of the stats(ROI)
