Comment notification via email – New plug in
March 27th, 2007 by Kenric
I’ve added a new plug-in that allows readers to get email notifications when additional comments are made to a particular post. The reason I’ve added this is because many of you will leave comments with questions or answers to my questions and I like to follow up on all comments. However, there is no way of knowing that I’ve responded to your comment without coming back and checking the post. By subscribing to the comment you will get notified when I respond to your comment or if anyone else responds to your comment.
I know that very often I will leave comments on other blogs with questions and then I will forget which blog and which post I left them on. It probably happens to many others who read alot of blogs daily.
For Firefox users, I’m working on the comment bug where you can’t be the first person to leave a comment. I have no idea why that is happening.
So next time you comment look for the “Notify me of followup comments via e-mail” check box below the submit comment button.
UPDATE: Shaun over at Shaun’s Real Estate Adventures was able to find the error in the comment code and now Firefox users can be the initial commentor. Thanks Shaun!

I used something like this on one of my blogs a while back. The users seemed to like it, so good pick.
