The next book that I’m reading or rather listening to… Think and Grow Rich by Napolean Hill
April 5th, 2007 by KenricWhen I read something just once I find myself saying, “That’s a good point” or “I need to remember that.” But the knowledge didn’t seem to stick in my head, or at least I couldn’t recall it when I needed it. It’s like looking at a problem and thinking, “I know I read something about what you’re not suppose to do here, but I can’t remember what it was.”
Semi-off topic rant: I used to get crushed in Hold’em Poker all the time by sets after the flop or turn. It was after 20-30 losing hands that I finally began to recognize them. When I went back and reviewed the hands, it was so obvious, yet I couldn’t see them when I really needed to. Through repetition and lost money, it finally was drilled into my head. Now I can see the patterns, recognize the play. I believe it’s the same with all these books I read. If you can’t put into use what you’ve learned or at least recognize a situation when you’re in it, it really does you no good.
This is why I like to get them on audio. I spend alot of time in the car. For some reason, when its 12am and I’m on a 5 hour drive, these audio books keep me wide awake compared to just regular music. I must have listened to RDPD at least 10 times in its entirety over the past 4 years.
I hopped onto Ebay & Amazon to see if I can get this book on audio for real cheap. The used unabridged CD sets are going for $20 on both Ebay and Amazon. I bought a used CD set after clicking the affiliate link on No Limits Ladies for $23.44 total. Ladies you’ve just made another $0.80!
I’m predicting that I can sell this for about $23.50. So after commissions and fees it will probably cost me around $4.00 for this book when I’m done with it.

I love this book. I think I’ve read it about twice. I like it as more of a manual and not just a one time read.
I’m also a huge fan of “How to Win Friends and Influence People” along with the Rich Dad books.
You really have a new perspective on life after reading them.
It’s good to see that others out there think similarly.

Even though some of the material is dated, I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
His interviews with Ford, Carneige, etc are absolutely priceless. Since I hold a certain fascination for all these titans I take pleasure in reading anything I can get my hands on. This book included.

Hey there’s Limeade again! (he’s cool) Kdog- you are going to make me rich from your Amazon purchases alone! Of course, you could have borrowed both book and book on cd from me for free! (or a mocha)
Great great book- I mainly focus on the portion about focusing your mind, and being the one who can organize specialized knowledge- good stuff yo!

I listen to this one all the time in my car! Love it! There’s always some point that’s made that sparks an “Ah-ha!” moment whenever I listen to it.
