Making Money Online - January 2008

It’s a new year and I just received my 1099 form from Google. To me this was a very important milestone because as I gathered my 1099’s for my 2007 tax return, I realized that I had received over 15 1099 forms! This means that I have truly diversified my income streams. My quest for multiple streams of income is finally moving forward. This is a huge contrast to my employee days when all I received was a W-2 and a 1099-INT from my savings account. Now I actually have many streams of income and although some are very small, they all do add up.

January turned out to be a good month for this blog. This blog seemed to finally make it over the adsense hump. This blog had been making close to $100 per month only. In the past 4 months it had made $100, $92, $93 and $75 in September 2007. But in January, adsense pumped out a solid $256. I even had my first $20 day.

In January 2008, my online income was $1,159. This income was lower than last month in December 2007 where my online total was $1,562.

I’m glad that my ebiz did not slow down after the Christmas rush. Revenue was down to $810 from $903. I had expected it to drop significantly in January. And it did in the beginning. In fact, business was very slow earning under $200 at the January 15th date. I increased my marketing and offered free shipping on January 16th and that brought in a stream of sales.
