Kitchen Tile Backsplash Site Breaks Even
March 31st, 2008 by KenricOn my post on February 14th, I posted that I bought a new domain to split off my kitchen tile backsplash page.
“With my kitchentilebacksplashes.com domain I am experimenting to see how fast I can make back my $7.00 with no further action.”
I’m happy to announce that as of yesterday March 26th, a mere 41 days later, the site made $7.16. At this rate, the site should make $62 per year. This is another example of how you can make some passive income from a simple domain. While it’s not great money. I hope to scale this to 10, 100 maybe 200 sites. Then it would be some decent income.
I did spend alot of time going to view some homes but I wasn’t doing it to make money. I have hundreds of other pictures of new construction products. Maybe I’ll start a few other simple sites with pictures of them. I have not gone to see any new homes in over 6 months. I probably should update the site once or twice this year to keep the traffic coming.
The ad conversation rate isn’t that great. I will probably tweak the site a little hoping to improve my click through rate. I hope to report that the next $7.00 comes alot quicker!

I think you could actually add in some more ads there on your kitchenbacksplashes site. I only saw the unit at the top. Perhaps you could put one in at the bottom of every post? I’ve had pretty good success with footer ads.
