October 22nd, 2006 by KenricI’ve been reading this person Casey’s blog since it’s first day. At first I thought it would be a blog that would last a few days. In fact, he actually took it down for a few days due to all the comments about mortgage fraud and jail time. I’m glad it’s back up and I’m glad he is updating it regularly.
As much as I love real estate investing and feel that it is a successful method of getting wealthy, I feel that stories like this one will keep us all grounded.

Casey’s story is certainly sobering. However, I can’t help think that he really didn’t run any numbers before buying those properties. How did he think he would have enough time to fix and sell them all in so short a time… by himself?
