Get your own blog!
August 13th, 2006 by KenricIt’s ironic how the blogspot link says, “get your own blog” because I’ve been thinking of getting my own domain name for my blog. Not that I think that I’m going to make alot of money with it or increase my traffic, but I think that it’s get a natural progression for bloggers. At some point, you want the blog to become yours. Remember the beginning of the world wide web? The first personal websites were all something like, ww.aol.com/~johndoe or ww.aol.com/~kenspage. I think it’s time that this blog become ww.something.com.
My friend Jon (who makes a living by blogging) created a website that produces a series of online videos to help beginning bloggers. The are videos made for people who would like to make money on their blogs. As I’m writing this, the site is down for maintenance so I can’t really paste any of its info here. But here is the link, http://www.realblogvideos.com. For $15 you get about 2-3 hours of video. I found the videos very interesting and will follow the steps outlined in them to create a new blog, I will post its results here.
Speaking of a new blog… I am in the process of creating a new blog. This one is going to be a spinoff of some of my past few posts. As you know I dabbled in online bonus whoring for a week or so and turned a decent profit. I’d say it was mostly luck. But I still want to keep at it, but I don’t feel that an investing blog is the place for this kind of money making.
My friend Bill has introduced me to the world of online gambling and I have to admit, it is very intriguing. Many people think that it is just like gambling at a real casino, but it is a totally different world. All I can say if that if you go to the Bellagio and gamble everyday there for 30 days in a row, don’t you think you well get comped? What would you get? A free room, free meals, free show tickets? Of course you would! In the online world, what is the best way to comp an online player? These casinos have no rooms, no free meals…. so how could they possibly compensate you for playing? The answer is, by giving you money.

This video is really good. I bought it late last night and didn’t watch the whole part. The explanation on how to replace the theme really helps me. I will try it later.
